ONLY ONE: Kanye's new amazing and completely insane video game project about sending his mother to heaven on a winged horse

Kanye West is a busy man. He’s a producer, hip-hop artist, fashion designer, entrepreneur and the husband of Kim Kardashian. When he’s not busy driving sneakerheads and the streetwear world crazy dropping his clothing line or polishing up and preparing to release a second album in one year, what does he do? DUH. He creates video games.
kqbijonboclew4jm1j0tSadly I've already seen this glorious video but I feel like I could watch it over and over and not get sick of its crazy. I saw the sneak peek of a video game involving ‘Ye’s mother that we saw during the The Life of Pablo unveiling at Madison Square Garden  but I figured it was never going to actually materialize.. well... It’s happening.

Kanye West has just released the trailer forOnly Onea video game that sees his dead mother ascend through the sky to the pearly gates of heaven on winged horseback. And he released it at E3, the biggest video game trade show on the planet.

Here's another little nugget of awesomeness:  Apparently, when Kanye went to talk to the designers about this project ‘Ye told them about his desire to go to school and learn how to create video games before he got into hip-hop. (yea fucking right) If he designed anything close to this before he was famous he would probably be fired on the spot.

kanye-west-releases-trailer-of-his-video-game-only-one-about-his-mother-going-to-heaven-837315So I don't know what the ultimate goal of the game is.. i'm guessing to get Donda West to heaven (not sure what is going to stand in her way.. i mean she is flying on a magical pegasus with angels and a perfect sunset behind her.. We will see. I"m buying this shit as soon as it comes out.

There’s no release date confirmed as yet, but this is Kanye we’re talking about. It could release tomorrow for all we know. WATCH OUT!

Re Post: Everyone is Entitled to My Opinion

If you know who is famous for the title quote you'll get a gold star and an A+ for the week!!!
I"ll give you a hint: shes way too old to be that in shape, she dumped an awesome director to rob the craddle with an endless amount of sexy dancers and her daughter needs to wax her unibrow before it grows into a caterpillar. muahahaha. Still super hot tho. OBVIOUSLY.

So ANYWAY,  recently 8 tracks has awarded me with 3 gold metals for 3 of my mixes that made it past some certain number of views. I guess that is pretty exciting. I was going to include them below but I thought that might ba a music overload for you all so I just put links to the posts the mixes were in.
ELIZ'S SPECIAL AWARD

I didn't know how to link you to the actual mixes... I guess I have a lot to learn about this blogging biz.

Anyway, enjoy January's mix!!!! its been A WHILE since i made one.. je vous empris! but i think this one is pretty good. maybe. kinda. possibly....

http://8tracks.com/mixes/1126467/player_v3_universal
Secondly, I have realized that since I curse too much in this stupid blog I have no opportunities to make any money from online ads which pisses the shit out of me. I also had kindof a bad night because an evil heterosexual male said some nasty things to me (I don't thnk he was brought up with proper manners) I'm not that upset it just often amazes me how some people can be so ridiculously clueless. And I don't mean that as a compliment ala Cher and D.

In any case, I was thinking about that old Calvin and Hobbes cartoon where Calvin is all pissy and somehow makes suzie pissed too and the caption goes "nothing helps a bad mood like spreading it around" which unfortunately for me is shamefully true. so I did a little research on why this might be:
- i ended up visiting a lot of shitty self improvement sites none of which actually scientifically proved anything (obviously.. when are self help sites scientific?)

finally......

i found this article that discussed a study proving that an unhealthy behavior or a bad mood can affect a friend up to 10% and can then affect a friend of that friend up to 6%.. so really I could be affecting binge drinking, obesity and generally shittiness on individuals i've never even met!!!! That's fucking crazy! and kinda makes me feel halfway guilty for the obesity problem in America.

article

but i still couldn't figure out why making people pissy when i was in a bad mood made me feel better.. Am i just a total bitch? or like evil or something? Perhaps I don't care enough about the other ppl I need to share this planet w. god DAMMIT! ugh that thought sucks so much it deserves a picture of kate to balance it out..

well imagine my delight when I read the following three possibilities: Next time I see you i'll be in fucking bellevue.
  • one article mentioned that ppl who feel out of control of their own lives like to make other ppl suffer so they do feel in control... that sounds like I need serious therapy.. I can't afford anymore!
  • Another article mentioned I could have some sort of serious mental issue where I am a narcissist that lacks adequate empathy to get along well with others. I don't know how scientifically accurate that was... I think I play well with others fine assuming they are worth playing with!
  • Then there was one that blamed a lack of empathy on child rearing skills or lack there of. basically it suggested I was left alone as a child too much and never developed certain coping skills or some shit... i'm sure my mother would DIE over that one.. i'd never hear the end of it!!! she already constantly tells me she has failed with me. hahahaha lovely home life.

Ugh, anyway, I couldn't find anything except the advice to quarantine yourself to avoid spreading a bad mood- but I couldn't find anything on why spreading a bad mood actually makes you feel GOOD... which annoyed me!  I'm glad no one is around for me to spread my annoyance to. :)

Sorry this post wasn't super uplifting.. Here is something that might cheer you.. I haven't made a mix in such a long time! I'm going to forget about all the lack of empathy nonsense.. What the fuck is the point.. I think I've already done enough damage.. no use creating more wrinkles worrying about the past/inevitable future.

enjoy the rest of this crappy month....and don't forget that bad moods are as contagious as the flu. hahahah!!!

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF NAOMI CAMPBELL

Today's Mix

This is an article I found in Harper's Bazaar a few years ago (which means they would probably sue my ass if my website wasn't so dinky) about how Naomi Campbell lives her life in 24 hours. You would like to think that she would be throwing phones, screaming at assistants, barking out unreasonable demands left and right and generally being a crazy psycho bitch to her staff because, well, she can... but actually her life (according to this magazine article and whatever she
told lied to the reporter. (who's name is Christine Whitney so I don't get sued)

Of course there were a fair share of juice cleanses, herbal teas, hot water with lemon, looking down on those who enjoy coffee, etc. I guess it takes lots of time and energy to be that perfect.. who knows. Sooo.. the superstar awakens and it all starts at 5am.....naomi-campbell-in-tanya-for-agent-provocateur
5:00 A.M. When I'm in New York taping my show, The Face, I get up at five or six. When I'm not, I'd say nine. I don't like alarms. I don't like really sudden, loud noises; they make me jump. I wake up on my own. When I've had to put on an alarm, I always anticipate it, and I wake up before. The first thing I do is have hot water with lemon and probiotics. I've never drunk coffee; I don't like the smell. I'm a tea drinker. If I need it I will have one cup of green tea. I'm more into herbal tea. After that I get up, take a shower, and then I have another set of drinks—one for the immune system and one with aloe. Then I do yoga or Pilates, and after, a big glass of green juice. In the shower I only use baby soap. I don't like too many perfumed shower gels. I use Biofirm Lift cream, and I use eye cream. I moisturize my skin constantly, my whole body, and I use moisture serums for my face these days. I think all the makeup and heavy moisturizers just clog the pores. It doesn't take me long to get dressed—I'm quick. When I'm going to the TV studio, I just wear jeans from AG or Acne, Alaïa ballet flats, and a nice top. My favorite labels are Azzedine Alaïa, Alexander McQueen, Dolce & Gabbana, Givenchy, Louis Vuitton, Roberto Cavalli, Versace, Marc Jacobs, and Zac Posen. I'm in heels all day at work and I'm dressed up, so it's nice to be in something grounding while I can. I love most brands; I don't just go by the name. It can be $10. If I like it, I'm going to buy it. It depends if it's comfortable—comfort for me is very important. When I'm working I don't wear much jewelry, just a cross, a Lorraine Schwartz evil-eye bracelet, and a yellow sapphire on my left hand.
naomi-campbell-in-evalyne-for-agent-provocateur7:00 A.M. I go to the studio by SUV or Maserati. I catch up with phone calls and e-mails, things with Europe. Sometimes I read magazines in the car when my driver has them, but I actually prefer books. Right now I'm reading The Four Agreements, by Don Miguel Ruiz. I'm also reading Clean, by Alejandro Junger, this detox book that's been around forever. It's about how to take care of your body, what you put in your body. And then before I know it, I'm at the studio. During hair and makeup I continue to do my e-mails and calls and stuff like that and try and get them out of the way. I can't keep the phone on when I'm on set. I have a BlackBerry and an iPhone; I just got the new ones. I have two dogs, a Malkie named Milo and a bulldog named Winston, but I don't bring them to work because there are too many people around and too much going on and lots of cables—I don't want them to eat anything from the floor. I do take my blanket, and walnuts, dates, apricots, lots of dried fruit, Smartwater, tea bags, a packed lunch. I just became a vegetarian, and I find it a little hard to figure out what to eat, so I just bring stuff from home. I went to this place where they teach you how to take care of your body and clean it inside and out. After that I decided I didn't want to eat pork, chicken, or anything I felt was unhealthy. I never thought I would ever do it. It was just something I decided to do. I don't know how long it's going to last, but I feel lighter and just easier. I think once you clean your intestine, you wanna try and keep it clean. I do juice cleanses two or three times per week. When I get to the studio, I usually go and check on my girls, my team: see how they are, how they slept, if they are okay in their rooms 'cause it's a new environment for them. And then I go into my room and change. They allow us, like, three hours for hair and makeup, but it's too long, so we do, like, an hour and a half.
naomi-campbell-in-payge-for-agent-provocateur9:15 A.M. We have meetings to talk about what we're gonna do for the day and how the fashion challenges are gonna go and the bullet points we have to hit for the brand. There are lawyers on set, which is a standard thing for reality shows, I understand. I'm new to this.
cheetah-montage12:00 P.M. My lunch is, like, salad and vegetables or something vegetarian like seitan, which tastes like meat but it's not. Sometimes my lunch could be just a juice. I pick them up at Juice Crafters or Organic Avenue. I have probably two or three green juices a day, and I have chamomile or mint tea or Smartwater.
naomi2
6:00 P.M. Yesterday was the first time I got to do some shopping, and it was 10 past six. I went to Helmut Lang and Louis Vuitton. They were really sweet and let me go in. I bought some stuff, but I never say what I buy or the prices; it's not my thing. I wanted to make sure I got some things that Marc [Jacobs] has done. When I'm not working I like to do a Zumba class in the evening.
5498a161bc7c4_-_hbz-naomi-campbell-cheetah-promo7:30 P.M. I don't really like eating past eight if I can help it. So I prefer to have a big lunch and skip dinner. But if I go out to dinner with friends, of course I'm going to eat, but lightly. I usually go with what my friends suggest because I'm traveling constantly. I don't drink alcohol, but once in a while I'll have dessert. It depends. The other day I had cotton candy, but I hadn't had so much sugar in my body for such a long time, I couldn't sleep. It really is true when they say sugar is a drug. If I go out, I like to go to dinners and openings and the theater. Lately I haven't been to anything. I wanted to go to the movies while I'm in New York, to see all these great films I know will be up for the Oscars, like The Butler, and I haven't been able to. And I love music. I have eclectic taste—I like deep house, rap, rock, pop, punk. I love Jay's album, and I'm looking forward to the new U2 album. I like to go to concerts; the last one I went to was Barbra Streisand in London back in June. I got to sit next to Sir David Frost.
prepre
2:00 A.M. Sometimes we finish taping the show at two, sometimes we finish earlier. It really depends. On the day of the challenges, it tends to be longer 'cause we've got a lot more work to get in. And when we've got more girls, it takes a lot longer, more time. And as you get toward the end of the show, it takes less time, obviously. I love doing the show and helping young women who want to get into the modeling industry, just to give them inside tips on how to conquer and be gracious and elegant in their approach. When I get home it's makeup off, shower, bed. Normally I would say to you, I watch my computer, I catch up on the reality shows I like to watch, but lately there's been no time. It's really just get as much sleep as you can. When I have more time I watch all the Real Housewives—I'm a big fan of Andy Cohen, NeNe Leakes, and Lisa Vanderpump—and Scandal. There's some really good stuff on television right now. To relax sometimes, even when I get in at, like, midnight, I like to get a massage, because when you're in heels all day it just throws your alignment out. I do that maybe two or three times a week.
Stars spotted en route to the Met Gala in NYC2:30 A.M. I pray every day and every night, and I sleep very quickly—I lay down, five minutes, I'm out.

OPEN NOTE FROM NAOMI CAMPBELL TO KATE MOSS ON HER BIRTHDAY: style icons of the 90's

I always have a soft spot for best friends. Especially these two.

These two have shared a beautiful friendship for the past 25 years, and now, on the occasion of Mossy's 40th birthday, Naomi has written a sweet homage to her close friend of the past two and a half decades.

She shares a lot, while also keeping some things to herself, and it's really quite endearing to read about these two supermodels' enduring companionship from Naomi herself!

These two were meant to be!

34980a3d046e8ee0e2c1544bc468579c

Naomi recalls her first ever meeting with her fellow British model, saying:
"I first met Kate Moss in Los Angeles in 1992. She was 15, I was 18. It was a brief meeting but I remember her being strikingly quiet, she hardly spoke. She can be very shy at times — if she doesn’t know you she doesn’t speak. The other striking thing, obviously, was her beautiful face. I knew she was special from that first minute I saw her."
Naomi also maintains that despite her larger-than-life status, Kate is totally down-to-earth:
"What’s Kate like? Well, she’s honest, loyal and straightforward. There’s no bullshit. She’s not pretentious in any way. What you see is what you get. I love that about her. After all, we’re both from south London — I’m from Streatham, she’s from Croydon — and from working-class families. She’s never tried to be anything else and nor have I. We know our roots."
tumblr_m8uzpjffix1rze6vyo1_500

Naomi quickly learned that Kate's fashion sense couldn't work on everyone. She explained:
"We were like sisters. Kate was cool, stylish. She’d sometimes tell us how to dress — “You need to be a bit more funky and downbeat,” she’d say. On her advice I once wore Adidas sneakers with a Galliano dress, which in retrospect was an appalling faux pas. I realized that Kate Moss could get away with things that the rest of us couldn’t."

naomi-campbell-e-kate-moss-10-597472

Naomi also has too many good memories to count with Kate! She said:
"There are so, so many good times I remember, so many. There was the time in February 1998 when we flew to meet Nelson Mandela in Cape Town.

Kate helped me pull together a load of people for a benefit for The Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund, and we did it in a short amount of time. We were adventurous. Granddad [Mandela] had a tea party for us in the Presidential House in Cape Town and he introduced himself to everyone — hairdressers, make-up artists, everyone. Amber [Valletta] was so overwhelmed she started crying. That was such a memorable trip to share with friends."
And even after all these years, the two are as close as ever!
"Perhaps what I love best about Kate is that she tries to keep the child within her, I would never want her to lose it. Yes, she’s 40, I’m 43, but it’s always great to have your child in you. It’s that vulnerability that makes you special, that makes you do the creative things, she so has that and when we’re together it comes out. We’re like we’re at secondary school. That’s what happens with girlfriends who’ve grown up together. That’s the charm of the friendship."
90s-supermodels

She also shares how Christy Turlington became the third member of their party (the three are pictured above at a Versace fashion show in South Africa in 1998!), saying:
"I was lucky enough to have met Christy Turlington already, and then I took Kate under my wing and we became a three. Christy and I showed Kate the ropes. If we knew a designer was a certain way we’d explain it to her, we’d tell her how people worked and what to look out for. We’d share everything. We worked so hard in those days, and then in the evening we would go out, for dinner, to concerts. Kate lived between Christy’s flat and my flat in New York and then when we travelled to do the shows in Italy and Paris, we’d try to stay in the same hotels and on the same floor. We might have a break somewhere like Marrakech after the collections and then we’d be back to face 25 shows."
tumblr_mocyeu3yiy1qgw04so1_1280

Then there was the time the two snuck into a Nirvana show! Naomi recalled:
"After one Sunday lunch we wanted to go and see Nirvana, who were playing at Columbus Circle, where the old Coliseum was, but we didn’t have tickets. We decided to blag it. So we get there and say, “So have our tickets been left here?” And the woman was like, “No, I’m sorry, there’s none.”

We did the whole, “that’s so weird because they are supposed to be here”. And all the while the lady is looking at Kate Moss. Her picture was all over New York for Calvin Klein at the time, and they must’ve thought, well it must be true. So in the end we got to see Nirvana and we got backstage. Where there’s a will there’s a way, we’d say."
2012_09_bienenkiste-kate-moss-and-naomi-campbell-by-patrick-593781-475-658

Kate and I were a backbone of support for each other. We’d meet after work for dinner, we’d go out. We talked about boys, as girls do, and the boys we’d met. Once we were with a person we’d still see each other. If her birthday was in LA, I’d go there. If mine was in New York, she’d come from wherever she was. We’d make an effort to be around for Christmas, birthdays, summer holidays. If I was doing a fashion show and she wasn’t in it, she’d still come and watch.

We were very spontaneous, never pre-planned. We lived life, enjoyed life everywhere we went. It was fun. We were professional models but we were also growing up. We started so young, we were still having our teenage years.

And obviously Kate and I have seen each other through the good and the bad. Kate has stood by me through it all. You can count on your hands the friends who’ll be there for you in the tough times, and she’s one of them. We can sit down and laugh about things, but she’s also respectful and mature.

She knows me very well and while sometimes we might tell a story differently (“No, I remember you didn’t wake up on time,” or “you fell over when you were doing that”) but at the end of the day it’s that we were together that counts, that I’ve grown up with her.

One thing I like about our friendship is that we’ve learned to resolve issues one-on-one, we don’t let anyone else get involved. We don’t have to speak every day but we have a connection. Sometimes she’ll know something is up, she’ll call and say, “Are you okay?” She’s very intuitive, very instinctive. She might not tell you she’s noticed something straight away but she doesn’t miss a beat. Nothing gets past her.

Till my stone cold grave I'll be pushing on. Till my blood runs dry I'll be riding high.
